Who Is Jesus and Why Does It Matter?

Who is Jesus? That question has shaped history and changed millions of lives. The Bible teaches that Jesus is not just a great teacher or a powerful prophet—He is the eternal Son of God, fully divine and fully human. But understanding how that works can be challenging. How can one person have two natures? And why does it even matter? These are big questions, but the answers hold the key to our salvation.

Throughout history, people have tried to explain Jesus in ways that make Him easier to understand—sometimes at the cost of getting it wrong. Some said He only seemed human. Others claimed He was a blend of divine and human, like a superhero. But the Bible makes it clear: Jesus is one person with two distinct natures—fully God and fully human. This truth matters because, without it, salvation doesn’t work. If Jesus weren’t fully human, He couldn’t represent us. If He weren’t fully God, He couldn’t save us.

The good news is that Jesus, in His perfect divinity and complete humanity, did what we never could. He lived the life we should have lived and died the death we deserved. Through His sacrifice, He removed our sin. Through His victory, He conquered death. And through His resurrection, He offers us new life. Salvation isn’t something we earn—it’s a gift we receive by faith, uniting us with Him forever.

This means you are not defined by your failures, your past, or your doubts. You were made for more—created in God's image and invited into His family. Jesus has already made the way. The only question is: will you trust Him?
